VVSD Staff Spotlight- Lynn Countryman, Finance Executive Secretary
Among many other things we celebrate at the end of the school year, we bid a fond farewell to the VVSD Staff Retirement Class of 2024. This year’s class of 41 members departs with combined years of service of nearly 800 years!
Representing this year’s class in the Spotlight is VVSD Finance Executive Secretary Lynn Countryman, who is retiring after 35 years with VVSD. Lynn’s career goes back to when all the financial tracking was done on paper, with just a little bit of computer support. While many of the printed pages have gone away, when Lynn takes part in her favorite activity- reading, she still prefers holding a printed book and experiencing that marvelous feeling of turned pages. Lynn estimates she’s read about 3500 books since joining the VVSD staff in 1989.
