****PARENTS - If your child is a car rider you MUST use the car rider line. Please DO NOT park in the bus lane OR Grant Line Road - that is not safe and not protocol.

September 12 is now an asynchronous learning day. Students will not attend school in person, but will have assignments on their chrome books in google classroom to complete for attendance. Teachers will be available via email from 8 am - 11 am. Parent-Teacher Conferences will then be from 12 pm - 7 pm. Please make sure to keep chrome books safe and charge them prior to returning to school. Chargers need to be returned with the chrome book.

September 13 will be a teacher PD day and students will not attend school.

Our school commitment for the week is to follow directions the first time given.

This week in guidance I visited all 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. We discussed feelings as well as calming strategies they can use to calm down when they feel upset.

Emotional outbursts, and defiance are common behaviors we see daily in our children. How do we address these behaviors and teach children positive ways to handle their emotions? Below is information on the first meeting where we will discuss ways to address these issues.

Letters will be sent home with all students for parents to RSVP for this meeting.

Permission forms for 3rd and 4th grade students wanting to run for the GLE Student Council were sent home this week. Forms need to be returned by Tuesday, September 3rd and elections will take place at the end of next week. We look forward to another wonderful year serving our GLE community!
