MARCH IS YOUTH ART MONTH
Our staff held their Wednesday meeting at the Rahr-West Museum to have an opportunity to experience all of the wonderful artwork our students have created. We are so proud of each and every one of them. Please check out the exhibit through the month of March.
YEARBOOK SALES
Did you know that you can still order a Washington yearbook? Students or families are able to come to the main office to purchase yearbooks from now to the end of May. Yearbooks cost $20 and will be handed out on the last day of school.

We are doing some work at the district level that aligns with the work we are doing as a school. Namely, our Code of Conduct. I am pleased to announce that we have revised this document to be more user friendly, concise, and equitable. Please take a moment to review it.
SCHOOL FOREST
6th Grade Camp Trip
Attention all families who have 6th grade students in Ms. Hill's Science Classes! These students will be going to the School Forest this spring. 3rd and 4th hours will be going April 10-11 and 5th and 6th hours will be going May 8-9. We will be having an information meeting with Parents & Guardians at Wilson on Monday, March 10 at 5:00 pm. Families of students who went in the fall do NOT have to attend this meeting. This is a combined Washington and Wilson meeting.
7th Grade Camp Trip
7th grade science classes will be going to the school forest for a half day trip on March 19th or 20th. Mr Schilder's class will be going for the morning of March 19. Ms. Mahloch will be going in the afternoon. Mr. Sawyer's class will be going for the morning of March 20. Ms. Hill's class will be going in the afternoon. Please make sure that your student is wearing appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather on the day that they go. Our Wisconsin weather can be very unpredictable.
WI FORWARD EXAM
The Wisconsin Forward Exam is designed to gauge how well students are doing in relation to the Wisconsin Academic Standards. These standards outline what students should know and be able to do in order to be college and career ready. The Forward Exam is administered online in the spring of each school year. Washington will be administering the ELA session 1 and 2 on April 2 to all grades. ELA Session 3 and Math session 1 on April 3 to all grades. Math session 2 and 3 on April 8 to all grades. 8th graders will also be taking the science portion on April 9 and Social Studies on April 10. Make up tests will be administered the following week.
STUDENT SERVICES
Hygiene Drive
The Help for the Homeless Drive has started! Did you know? Washington Middle School is looking to be the school across the district with the most hygiene items to be collected? All items collected for this cause stays locally and goes back into our community to support our students' growth and learning. If you wish to support the cause, hygiene items may be dropped off in the Washington Middle School Main Office during regular school day hours.
HOMEWORK CLUB
Students who need help with any kind of homework are invited to join the Homework Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room 223 (Ms. Love) from 3-4 pm. We have 3 high school students who are former students of Washington who need tutoring hours for National Honor Society. Bring any work with you and there are people there to help!

We look forward to meeting you! We took 2nd place at our competition this year! We have fun cheering for the Manitowoc Ships and the Manitowoc Chiefs! Come have fun with us!
