Shoemaker Families,

Happy May! We are on our final stretch and may the force be with all of our students and staff as we do our best to finish the year on a strong note! We have completed a number of important assessments during April, including our final Dibels assessment and our state assessments (NSCAS). Our students and staff gave their best efforts to demonstrate learning on important state standards this year and we look forward to analyzing results and using them to continue to strengthen our future school improvement efforts.

May also brings a number of fun activities that cap off the year. We will be celebrating our staff during the week of May 6-10th along with a number of fun events to end the year such as a Shoemaker fun run, field day, and our 5th grade graduation. Please continue to encourage students to give their best efforts academically and behaviorally and we will do our best to help them finish the year strong. Our theme this year has been "Success Year after Year" and I believe our students, staff, and families have done a great job living out our theme this year. Have a great summer and look for updates on upcoming school preparation pieces during the summer months!

6th Grade Orientation at Westridge

Westridge will host an Information Night for incoming 5th-grade students at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd. Students will receive their course registration forms when they visit the building during the day. The Information Night will provide an opportunity for parents to receive the information their child received during the day and to have any questions answered about the course registration form. We hope to see you there!
