NEW SECURITY TECHNOLOGY AT TURNER STADIUM
Across the nation, athletic venues have implemented additional safety measures. Humble ISD is continuing its ongoing commitment to safety enhancements at Turner Stadium.
Effective Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, Turner Stadium now has a weapon detection system at both the Home and Visitor entrances. Fans will walk through the system, which is called Evolv Express. Sensors detect concealed weapons, helping to direct police where needed without causing unnecessary delays. The district experienced a demo of the system at Turner Stadium in September. Because the demo went well, the system will now be a permanent feature at Turner Stadium.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS BRING ADDED SAFETY TO OUR SCHOOLS
There is opportunity for Humble ISD male volunteers to make a significant contribution to the education and safety of our children each school year.
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is an elementary volunteer program that provides positive male role models for students and adds an extra layer of security on campus. Fathers and father figures in the program assist with arrival & dismissal, eat lunch with students and patrol the campus. All Humble ISD elementary campuses have a Watch D.O.G.S. program or equivalent male role model program for the 2024-2025 school year.
Iron Men is a similar program for Humble ISD middle and high schools. The primary goals are to provide positive role models for students through their visible presence on campus and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security.
If you are interested in joining a campus volunteer program, please contact the campus principal. Volunteers must complete a volunteer application that includes a background check and training.
