Tonight is Back to School Night for K & 1st Grade!
This is a perfect time to drop off medications, emergency care plans and medical paperwork to the Nurse's office. These items can be dropped off tonight in the Intermediate School Nurse's Office, Middle School Nurse's Office or High School Nurse's Office. Thank you for partnering with us for your student's health!

Early-Bird Carline Unloads from 8:15-8:25 AM.

Help us get students to classrooms on time so they can start a busy day of learning!
PM Carline Update
Starting 9/23:
- Students MUST know car line numbers
- On Monday, Admin will collect numbers. Families will pull up and step out of their car and stand by the driver's side door to receive students.
- After 9/23, parents will not walk up to
- Any students who are not picked up by 3:55 will be sent to aftercare Owl Club in Building 26 for a drop-in rate.
- Bring car tags and ID daily and display prominently on dash.
- Students must memorize car line number.
- After 9/23, families will pull back through carline if their student does not know their carline number.
- If you are picking up Intermediate School students at the Lower school, use the left lane.
- Pull up along the building parking lot to the far left of the two regular carline lanes.

School Safety Drills
OCS complies with safety drill protocols required by Delaware’s Comprehensive School Safety Program through the Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA), which includes two (2) annual lockdown drills and monthly fire/evacuation drills. We appreciate your ongoing support of these proactive measures.
A Message from our Nurse
Illness- Students ill from school MUST have a note sent to the main office or school nurse upon return to school. Students and staff must be fever-free and without vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school. Absences of 3 consecutive days or more require a note from a medical provider to be excused. Students with 10 days of absences require a note from their medical provider for every additional absence to be excused.
COVID- Students and staff testing positive for COVID may still come to school unless they have a fever. Students and staff must be fever-free and without vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school. It is recommended that students who test positive for COVID wear a mask for 5 days following the start of symptoms. If you feel your student is too ill to come to school, this is treated as any other illness.

Student absences must be reported to the homeroom teacher AND main office.
Last drop off without signing in: 8:45 AM
Last early dismissal: 2:55 PM
Last car rider pickup: 3:55 PM
Students who are not picked up at school or bus stop are taken to aftercare in building 26 for a drop-in rate.
All dismissal changes must be communicated to the front office in writing. Please reach out to Dianne McCurdy with any questions.

If you would like to volunteer at an event at your child’s school or attend a school field trip, please follow the instructions on this form. Thank you for all your assistance!
