PLC- Early Release Days

Each month, our teachers meet with their Professional Learning Community (PLC). Please be aware of these dates and the change to Two Hour Early Release. The school day will run from 8:00-12:30, buses will depart at 12:30.Your student will still receive lunch prior to 12:30pm dismissal when buses will leave the building. Monroe will provide optional supervision from 12:30-2:30 for students to remain at school.

Students who stay for the optional supervision and are not enrolled in ACES must have transportation home by 2:30pm, the end of a normal school day. Lastly, ExCEL and After School Club programs will not run on early release Wednesdays. You can sign up here for the FIRST PLC. All students will need to sign up EACH month with their plan.

PTO Message

Hey Parents!

We hope this message finds you well! We’re reaching out to invite you to join our Monroe Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO). As our children graduate, so too do our parents and we have several positions open! We would love to see some fresh faces and hear your fantastic ideas!

Whether you have a flair for organizing events, a passion for fundraising, or just want to be a part of knowing what’s up in our school community, there’s a place for you here. Plus, it’s a great way to meet other parents and get involved in your child’s school life!

If you’re interested (or just curious), come to our next meeting at the school on September 24th from 6-7pm. Virtual Drop Ins are also available! We’ll have snacks and a chance to chat about all the fun things we can do together.

If your child came home with a Snack Cart form, please fill out and return as soon as possible. Thank you!

After School Plans

When calling to change after school plans please email the teacher before 10:00 am with your change or call the office before 2:15. The end of the day is very busy and we need that extra time to get the message to the teachers before school lets out.

Title I

The purpose of Title I, Part A under the Federal ESEA Act is to supplement services to students to help them learn what they need to know to be successful on high academic standards. Monroe Elementary School is a Title I school, meaning we receive additional funding to provide supplemental interventions or services to students.
