Eagleville Express Family News
Mid - September Edition
Principal's Note:
Hello Families!
We are off to a great start to the school year! Classes are getting into routines, students are making new connections, and learning through so many unique experiences already. So much of this is made possible by our veteran staff members and incredible Eagleville PTO to make it feel like one big family for all students.
Early fall is a wonderful time to blend outdoor activities with chances to build an even stronger Eagleville Elementary community. Take a look at some of the events we have in store for late - September and October and hope to see you there!
All the best,
Mr. Plant

School Safety Information
With the beginning of the school year comes the need to implement and practice our safety procedures. Please take the time to read the Eagleville School Safety Letter to Families for details on how we plan to educate our students and inform our families as needed in the event of an emergency. It is important to know that all drills taking place in September will be introduced by teachers in the classroom so students are prepared for what will take place before any school-wide announcement or alert would occur.
Playworks Updates
In the last newsletter, we introduced the Playworks program. The goals of the program are based on making sure recess is a time of play and enjoyment for everyone, making sure there are not any conflicts that occur and carry into the academic times of the school day.
Just to clarify, students will always have the option to play what they would like. The activities that are introduced are designed to give students a variety of options of games that can be played not only at school, but many other scenarios.
This past week, our Playworks leader, Coach Brynn, was at Eagleville getting to know the students and staff. During the last week of September, she will return to work with our Junior Coaches (5th and 6th graders who have volunteered to serve as rotating leaders) to introduce new games and enhance existing games. We are very optimistic that the Playworks model will increase the joy and physical release that recess should bring, as well as strengthen leadership and teamwork skills for our students.
2023 -24 Forward Test Results
We will be sending home individual student reports of the Wisconsin Forward Test from last year if your student participated in completing them on Friday, September 20th. These will be sent home directly with your child.
