Dear Hayshire Families,

As we move into the month of March, we often hear the saying, In like a lion, out like a lamb. Just like the unpredictable weather of March, we are embracing both the challenges and the calm. March is a month of transition and growth!

Friday, March 7 is the final day of the Hayshire Read-A-Thon and the final day to log those reading minutes. If we read 50,000 or more minutes, we will earn a Glow Party! Reading Logs are due Monday, March10!

Our next round of Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14. This presents a great opportunity to discuss your child's progress in school. It's not too late. There's still time to sign up! The Conference Scheduler is open in Skyward until Tuesday, March 11 at 3:00 PM. Second Trimester Report Cards are now posted in Skyward. For additional Skyward information, click here. Families can see their child's progress on a regular basis by viewing the Schoology Gradebook.

Every year the PTO provides dinner for teachers and staff during the March conferences. If you would like to donate, please click on this link or the button below.

Just a reminder... Thursday, March 13 is an early dismissal. Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM.

Hayshire PTO hosted its annual Read-A-Thon! More than 360 people gathered together to celebrate something wonderful... READING! People came with comfy clothes, stuffies, and books. There were also free books to take home, a bookmark-making station, hot cocoa and cookies, and guest readers. To learn more about our Hayshire readers, click on the button below, Read-A-Thon!

Our next round of conferences will take place on Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14. Once again, families will use Skyward to schedule a Parent-Teacher Conference. The Conference Scheduler will open in Skyward on Tuesday, February 18 at 8:00 AM. This will allow you flexibility to select a time. The Parent-Teacher Conference provides a time to meet with the teacher and learn more about your child's progress, academically, socially, and emotionally. We know that success for your child is family and school working together!

The Central York Education Association’s Battle of the Buildings returns! Teacher teams from each of our buildings will battle it out with juniors and seniors through a variety of crazy events and games to raise funds for scholarships for students pursuing careers in education. These teams will battle it out on Friday, March 21, 2025. Doors open at 6:30 PM. The event begins at 7 PM. Come and cheer on your teachers! To purchase tickets online, click on the button below!

Kindergarten Registration is now open for the 2025/2026 school year. We are excited to welcome upcoming Kindergartner to our Panther Family. Per District Policy, students must be five years of age on or before August 31, 2025 to be enrolled for Kindergarten. Kindergarten Registration will take place at Hayshire Elementary on Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15. You will select a 30 minute time slot. Your child should attend with you that day!
