Prayer Ministry
Ministry Leader - Ava Shupert - ava.shupert@vbvf.org
VBVF is a church that believes in the power of prayer. The Lord has told me this is to be The Year of Prayer. Did you know that we have a team of prayer warriors that pray daily for the needs of our church family? We want to remind everyone of the Prayer Chain that we have in place at Verse By Verse. There are three ways for you to access the chain. You can come forward at the end of a Sunday morning service and request that your prayer be added to the chain or you can place your request in the Prayer Box by the Prayer Wall in the lobby. There is also a Prayer Request button on line on the Church Center App. (For urgent requests please text 210-535-5673).
In Christ, Ava
Missions Ministry
LIVING ON MISSION
How can I get involved in local missions to my neighbors in San Antonio? At VBVF we have missional opportunities locally every day of the week. One of those ways is through a Communal Table where we gather as a community of believers around an Afghan family. Do you or your family have 1.5 hours every other week, at your convenience, to invest in living missionally with a family who needs help acclimating to their new city? If you can help with things as simple as helping someone understand their mail then you are perfect for this ministry! The Communal Table is a way that you, your family, a group of friends, and/or your small group can get involved in helping our international friends who have likely never heard the gospel. Click HERE for more information and to indicate your interest and we will reply with more details and dates. What is a Mission In Your City outing? It is an immersive field trip of the mission field in San Antonio, TX for the tens of thousands of unreached people groups and nations who live, work, and play right here. Paul said "Become all things to all people so that by all possible means through the Holy Spirit of God we might save some. We do all this for the sake of the gospel, that we may share in its blessings." 1 Cor. 9, 22-23 How do we "become all things to all people?" We start by getting into their shoes and walking around a bit. That is what MIYC will accomplish. It's a great day of food, fun and traveling to some incredible spots in our city you may have never seen before. Click HERE for more information and to indicate your interest and we will reply with more details and dates.

Some people consider the book of Acts to be the most controversial book in the new testament. We are going to tackle this book, verse by verse, working through the details of these questions and more. Join us each Sunday at 9 am or 11 am.
