ROADRUNNER REPORT

There is much to be grateful for at Palmquist! This week our superintendent, Dr. Vitale, visited and was inspired by the the skilled teaching and deep learning she observed. She asked students questions, listened as they shared their stories, and thanked our teachers for their unwavering dedication to our students and our school! We have a beautiful new marquee, our front office will be redesigned over winter break to enhance safety, and Mr. Billingsley received a grant to enrich our Farm Lab program! Many thanks to our school community for donating an amazing amount of food. Your kindness and generosity will brighten the holidays for many families. I am grateful to be a part of this beloved community. Take good care of each other and have a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving!

¡Hay mucho por lo que estar agradecidos en Palmquist! Esta semana, nuestra superintendente, la Dra. Vitale, nos visitó y se sintió inspirada por la enseñanza experta y el aprendizaje profundo que observó. Hizo preguntas a los estudiantes, escuchó mientras compartían sus historias y agradeció a nuestros maestros por su inquebrantable dedicación a nuestros estudiantes y a nuestra escuela. Tenemos una hermosa marquesina nueva, nuestra oficina principal se rediseñará durante las vacaciones de invierno para mejorar la seguridad y el Sr. Billingsley recibió una subvención para enriquecer nuestro programa Farm Lab. Muchas gracias a nuestra comunidad escolar por donar una increíble cantidad de alimentos. Su amabilidad y generosidad alegrarán las fiestas para muchas familias. OUSD is making an important change in our student progress report/report card distribution process. Beginning this reporting period, progress reports/report cards will no longer be printed and mailed home. Instead, parents and caregivers will access their child's progress reports/report cards electronically through the Aeries Parent Portal.

This shift to digital grade access offers several benefits, including:

• Environmental sustainability: Reduces paper consumption and waste.

• Faster access: Parents can view grades immediately upon release.

• Improved communication: Provides a centralized platform for parents to access student information.

• Cost savings: Eliminates printing and mailing expenses.
