The Fee Table:
- Kindergarten - 2nd grade: $0 (iPad that stays in school)
- 3rd - 6th grade: $15 (Lenovo Laptop)
For more 1 to 1 Information visit: Technology & Innovation / User Agreement and Payment (cbsd.org)
Attendance Information:
All absences must be entered through the Parent Portal.
Click here for more information, including directions on how to upload a student absence: Managing Student Attendance.
Dismissal Help for New Students:
Dismissal can be stressful during the first few days of school, especially for new students. We have found that sending your child in with a tag on their backpack with dismissal reminders can help. We will also have staff members throughout the building to assist with students who are still learning their way around.
Transportation Information:
The Transportation tab in your Parent Portal Account will list your child(ren)'s bus number, as well as pick up/drop off times & location.
Your child may ride only the bus to which he/she has been assigned unless an Alternate Bus Stop Request has been approved. The Central Bucks Transportation Department may approve requests for childcare or shared custody situations. A form must be submitted every year: Alternate Bus Stop Request.
Please read the following message from the Transportation Department:
We ask parents to be patient during the first two weeks of each new school year. Drivers need time to adjust to new stops on their runs and to the needs of their passengers. We suggest students arrive 10 minutes early until a routine is established. We are especially mindful of the kindergarten and first grade students during this time. Additionally, individual schools extend the time for loading each bus to ensure that all students are placed on the correct bus.
Walkers:
All students who walk to and from school will enter and exit via the back playground doors. For arrival, all students will enter the building using door #10. Please meet your child by the sidewalk on Burnt House Hill Road, at the end of the day.
Car Riders - Drop off & Pick up Procedures:
Drop Off: Students who are car riders should enter the parking lot via the Burnt House Hill Road entrance. Please stay to the right and park your car along the sidewalk, in front of the Gayman Library entrance. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will enter through the 3rd grade door (Door #2), while 4th through 6th grade students will enter through the library door (Door #3). Parents will remain in their cars and students will exit on the passenger side. Gayman staff members will be available to assist children.
Pick Up: Each family will receive a "pick up placard" on the first day of school that can be displayed in your car window. Write your child's last name and grade level(s) on the placard. A staff member will call your child's name to exit the building. Students will enter vehicle on the passenger side. Please be patient during the first week of school, as this may take our students a little longer to remember this routine.
**Car Rider placards will be available for pick up at the Open House.**
Required Health Exams:
Pennsylvania mandates the following health examinations:
- Physicals: School entry (Kindergarten), grades 6 and 11
- Dentals: School entry (Kindergarten), grades 3 and 7
The completed health forms are due to Mrs. Sara Hedges, school nurse, no later than October 14, 2024.
You can upload your completed exam forms to your child's Parent Portal account or email them to shedges@cbsd.org. Please keep a copy of the health forms for your records. Thank you!

Kindness Counts Club News:
Another school year means another year of kindness! For new families: Gayman has its own club dedicated to service projects and acts of kindness, called Kindness Counts Club—KCC for short. We meet once a month after school to work on all kinds of things... From making cards for senior citizens, filling activity boxes for kids in the hospital, creating birthday kits for the local food pantry, and cleaning up Gayman's gardens in the spring. For those who have been here: THIS YEAR, we're operating a little differently.
