Reach for the Stars, Bulldogs! ⭐
Welcome back! We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break and the new year is off to a great start. The midpoint of our school year is only weeks away and it is a good time for us to take a moment to reflect on our progress towards our school goals. At the core of our Churchill experience is creating a safe and joyful place for all to learn. Bulldogs are striving for excellence in all we do!
Our students are showing great effort and demonstrating growth in all areas of their learning - social emotional and academic. We are excited to see their student star goals continue to develop and come to life. You are an important component to your child's success and we thank you for all you do. We appreciate your engagement in their education and your continued positive support of our staff and school community. Let's keep shining bright, Bulldogs!
What Are Your Resolutions in 2024?
News You Can Use 📰
Club Session 2 Sign-Ups: Our club sign-up information was sent by email on Friday, January 5th. The sign-up link will be sent by email from Infinite Campus Parent Portal on Saturday, January 6th at 1pm. Please carefully review this information before signing-up your child.
Save the Date for Snack and Chat with Schnoor: All families are invited to attend a snack and chat with Dr. Schnoor on Thursday, February 1st. There are two 45 minute sessions at 7:45am and 5:30pm. This is an informal opportunity to hear an update on Churchill happenings and to include your voice in the continued work of our Churchill learning community. Your questions and ideas are welcome! Light refreshments will be served.
Arrival and Dismissal: Please take a few moments to review our arrival and dismissal procedures. Safety is a priority and your adherence to our procedures help us keep our students safe during these transitional times of day. We appreciate your attention to these procedures and please note they apply to all students/families at Churchill. No transportation changes can be made after 2:30pm on full days or 11:15am on half days.

Winter Benchmarking: The winter benchmarking window is an opportunity to gather multiple data points that inform us of a student's progress in both reading and math. One indicator of success in our schoolwide improvement plan is our growth on STAR and our students showing consistent progress on common summative assessments throughout the school year. Please encourage your child to perform their best on their winter STAR assessment on Jan 23 and Jan 24 so we can use that information to best meet their needs.

Attendance Works 🗓
We look forward to having our students each and every day. To keep our school healthy, do keep your child at home if they are sick. Be on time! Regular late starts or early dismissals disrupt everyone's learning so keep the attendance schedule bell-to-bell. Ensure your child is eating healthy, getting rest, and keeping a regular plan/routine so they can be successful in their attendance goals.
*Please communicate attendance information with teacher and main office.

Schnoor Update 🕶
The school year is flying by! Over break, it was nice to be able to slow down to enjoy time with family. I flew out to sunny AZ to spend time with my parents and my sister's family. The hiking and outdoor time was so much fun. We did some baking and I got to read a couple of really good books! I hope all of you were able to rest and recharge as well.
