New Information for Parent/Teacher Conferences
Dear Parents and Guardians,
For our third and final PTC experience of the year, we have once again allowed teachers and grade level teams the flexibility to do in-person or Zoom/phone conferences this trimester. The requirement for our teachers is that they spend 3 hours of conference time with parents. This must take place the week of 4/21/25.
Be looking for our Parent/ Teacher Conference sign ups to be sent out Monday, 4/14/25, in a special edition of our newsletter.
6th Grade will be doing team conferences in person on 4/23 with parents based on student need/signup
7th Grade will be doing individual teacher Google meet sign ups the week of 4/21
8th Grade will be doing team conferences via Google meet on 4/22 based on student need/signup
If you are unable to attend, or the time slots fill up, feel free to reach out to the teachers directly by email and they will get back to you with an update on your student.
The feedback we gathered from the end of the second trimester was divided between favoring traditional and flexible conferences. All of the feedback requested at least one in-person experience per school year with the emphasis on the beginning of the year. We are always open to feedback and will plan accordingly for next year’s conferences.
Sincerely,
Scott Stockwell
HMS Principal
