Georgia Department of Education Family Survey
Parents/Guardians,
Please take time to complete the New Georgia School Climate Survey that is part of our school's annual report card (CCRPI) process. All answers are confidential and go directly to the GA Department of Education, not Bass Middle School. Results will be shared with schools in the Spring and will be counted as part of our end of year school grade. Click here to use the link or scan the QR code to complete the survey.
Thank you for taking time to assist with this process.

PARENT RESOURCES
Small Group Counseling
This semester, we are offering small group sessions designed to support your child's social and emotional development. These groups will focus on building friendship skills and strengthening organizational abilities—two key areas that help students thrive both in and outside the classroom.
Through fun, interactive activities and guided discussions, these small groups will help students:
- Friendship Skills: Learn how to make and keep friends, resolve conflicts, and improve communication.
- Organizational Skills: Master time management, create effective study routines, and organize tasks for school and beyond.
These groups are a wonderful opportunity for your child to gain valuable skills in a supportive, small-group setting. If you’d like more information or wish to sign up, please contact the counseling office!
College and Career Readiness: Health Science
This month we are highlighting the Health Science Career Cluster. Parents and guardians, if you work in one of the related fields, please email Ms. McKoy a blurb (and a picture if you want) about your job!
Ms. McKoy's email: grace.mckoy@cowetaschools.net
Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies is a 501c3 non-profit organization created to supply economically disadvantaged children in the Coweta County School System with food for the weekend. If you are interested in signing up for the program, scan the QR code to the right.
Visit the BMS website for the latest information regarding athletics.
*CCMSAL permits 7th and 8th grade students to participate in school sports.
Home Athletic Events
We love for our students to attend home athletic events to support our athletes. Due to limited supervision after school, please make note that students may not remain at school unless we announce that we are having a tailgate before the game begins. Therefore, students must go home using their normal transportation and may return to the school at 4:30.
In addition, students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. for all athletic events.
Middle School Athletic Season
*All sporting events begin at 4:30 p.m. and cost $5.00 per person to attend.
Fall: Soccer, Football, Cheerleading & Volleyball
Winter: Basketball
Spring: Track
Additional Information:
Bus Arrival/Dismissal
Please sign up for notices from Bus Bulletin to receive notifications from transportation regarding late buses in the morning and afternoon.
In addition, we have a spreadsheet that is updated every day by 2:30 pm with bus changes listed on it. We highlight buses as they leave the school.
Lunch Visitors
Due to space and safety concerns, lunch visitors are restricted to parents/step-parents/guardians, non-school aged siblings, and grandparents (per written permission from the parent). We will not call to verify someone not listed on the emergency card or without a note. Visitors do not include aunts, uncles, neighbors, or coaches. Please also adhere to the following:
All approved visitors are asked to remain at the front until your student is called up for lunch. Students and approved visitors may eat lunch in the counseling suite or administrative conference room.
Approved visitors may not visit other areas of the school.
Approved visitors are not allowed to bring food for other children when they visit for lunch, and students cannot ask their friends to eat with their approved visitor during lunch.
Please refrain from cell phones or other technology usage while visiting for lunch. Due to privacy issues outlined in FERPA, no photos/videos with cell phones or other electronic devices are allowed.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!
