Advising
Important Deadlines
Regular Academic Session Courses (08/21/2023 - 12/06/2023):
- 10/29/2023: Last day to file for Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO). Last day for students to withdraw from a class online through UAccess.
- 10/30/2023: Instructor and dean's signatures required on a Late Change Petition in order to withdraw from class and students must have an extraordinary reason for approval.
Seven Week First Session Courses (08/21/2023 - 10/11/2023):
- 10/11/2023: Last day of class - no registration changes can be made after the last day of class.
Seven Week Second Session Courses (10/12/2023 - 12/06/2023):
- 10/12/2023: FIRST DAY OF 7 WEEK - SECOND CLASSES. First day to file for the Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO).
- 10/15/2023: Last day to use UAccess for adding classes, changing classes, or changing sections.
- 10/16/2023: Instructor approval required on a Change of Schedule form to ADD or CHANGE classes.
- 10/18/2023: Last day to drop without a grade of W (withdraw).
- 10/19/2023: W period begins - a penalty grade of W will be awarded for each withdrawal and the class(es) will appear on your transcript.
- 10/27/2023: Instructor's and dean's signatures are required on a Change of Schedule form to change from pass/fail to regular grades or vice versa.

Event Description: For any college faculty position, job interviews not only involve fielding questions about teaching experience from various stakeholders, but also commonly include teaching demonstrations that range from a short audition to guest teaching in actual courses. For faculty positions that also involve research, questions about research and a research talk are expected. This workshop will cover the nature of the academic interview process and how to prepare for the interview. Participants will be given the opportunity to practice answering actual interview questions.
