News from the Nest of Lucy T. Davis
September 16th - 20th, 2024
The Mission of Lucy T. Davis Elementary is to Educate! Prepare! Inspire!
School Attendance Matters
Did you know that regular school attendance is one of the most significant factors in your child’s academic success? Every day of learning counts, and students who attend school consistently are more likely to achieve better grades, build strong social skills, and develop healthy learning habits.
Why Attendance Matters:
- Maximized Learning: Each day, teachers introduce new content and build on previous lessons. Frequent absences make it difficult for students to stay on track and fully grasp important concepts.
- Social Connections: School is where students build friendships, develop teamwork skills, and learn to navigate social situations. Consistent attendance strengthens these experiences.
- Punctuality and Responsibility: Arriving on time helps students start the day ready to learn and establishes a lifelong habit of punctuality and responsibility.
We understand that illness or emergencies can sometimes keep students from school, but making school attendance a priority whenever possible will have a lasting, positive impact on your child’s education.
Thank you for your support in helping every student thrive!
