Be Safe, Exercise Responsibility, Engage in Learning, and Practice Kindness!
Reynolds' Report
Hello Roadrunner Families!
I hope you had a wonderful three day weekend with your student!
As we enter this week, please remember that all kindergarten through fifth grade students will dismiss at 12:30pm to accommodate for parent-teacher conferences this week. If your student normally goes to CARE, they will go straight to their CARE teacher at dismissal.
As you come onto campus for your conference, please be sure to check our lost and found. It is overflowing! We will have it by the front gates so that you can find all of your students' misplaced items.
Next week we will not have school for our Thanksgiving Break. Our next Roadrunner Weekly update will be sent out on November 26th.
Have a fantastic holiday, Roadrunner Families!

Topic of the Week
BEEP Skills : Exercise Responsibility!
Because of the Veteran's Day holiday, we will not be holding a weekly assembly. We will be continuing with our focus from last weeks whole school Morning Meeting.
In that assembly, we talked about our BEEP expectation, Exercise Responsibility. We reviewed how we are responsible for ourselves, and one way to do this is to own our own actions!
Just like with math, it is okay to make mistakes with our actions. The important part, is owning our actions, repairing our mistakes, and learning from the experience!
During our assembly, we learned three important steps to exercising responsibility:
1. Own your actions - even if someone else did something to you, owning your own actions is an important part of making things right.
2. Make an apology
3. Repair the problem
If I kicked over your lego tower, an apology would be great, but helping you repair it would be even better!
Students need models of how to own their own actions. It is okay to share mistakes with your children and model for them how you fixed it. "Oops! I turned right instead of left! That's okay, we can turn around at the next block and fix the problem!"

Updated COVID Protocols
Student Quarantine:
Effective this year, California Department of Public Health has replaced most of the requirements about student quarantine with recommendations. The one remaining requirement is that students who are ill must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the aide of fever-reducing medications before they are able to return to school. Please see the documents below for more detailed information.
