ELEMENTARY INFORMATION
Note from our Elementary Principals
This coming week is busy! May 12-15, the elementary school is honoring our amazing Principal, Mr. Anderson. He spends countless hours on and off campus making sure our teachers, staff, and students have what they need to be successful. Let's make this week extra special for him and show him how much we care.
Parents,
It’s hard to believe, but we’re down to just two more weeks of school! This year has flown by, and I’m so grateful for all the support you’ve shown our students, staff, and school along the way. Your kiddos are truly AMAZING!!! We have a lot of information going on in the next couple of weeks so please be looking out for your child’s teacher newsletters.
Teacher Appreciation Week
This past week we had a chance to celebrate our teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week, and they really deserve it. They work so hard every single day—not just teaching lessons, but building relationships, encouraging kids, and making our school a place where students feel safe and loved. We’re lucky to have such a great team. Thank you to those of you who helped us show them a little extra love this week! If you didn’t have a chance to show your appreciation, please feel free to send them a little treat, a small note or any other kind gesture to show them how much they are appreciated!! As a principal and vice principal, we couldn’t ask for a better group of teachers working here at ALA!! Thank you, teachers!!!
Spanish Fork Library Visit
We also had a fun visit from the Spanish Fork Library this past week! They came to tell us all about their Summer Reading Program—and they made it exciting with games, fun activities, and lots of energy. Kids learned how they can earn rewards just for reading over the summer. Each student went home with a flyer that has more information, so take a look if you haven’t seen it yet.
Hope of America
One of the real highlights this week was seeing our 5th grade students participate in the Hope of America program. It’s hard to describe how powerful this event is if you haven’t experienced it. Thousands of students from across Utah gather to sing, perform, and celebrate the values that make our country great—freedom, unity, courage, and kindness.
Our 5th graders did an outstanding job. Watching them sing patriotic songs, wave flags, and stand proud as part of something bigger was a moment I won’t forget. This is what we love about our school because we don’t just teach reading and math—we teach character, service, and love for our country. Hope of America is a perfect reflection of those values, and it was an honor to see our students represent our school with such heart.

SECONDARY INFORMATION
Note from our Principal - Amanda Kuhnz
ALA Families,
9 days and counting! As we enter the final days of the school year, I want to commend our students for the leadership, determination, and integrity they’ve shown throughout the year. With finals ahead, this is an important opportunity for them to demonstrate the responsibility and commitment we strive to build in all our student leaders at ALA. Our staff has worked diligently to prepare students for success, and we encourage everyone to approach this week with focus, confidence, and pride in their hard work. Just as we honor the values of discipline and service in our school community, we know our students will rise to the challenge.
Finals are not only a test of knowledge but of character — and we’re confident that our students will finish the year strong. Please encourage your child to review their schedule, get plenty of rest, and reach out to their teachers or counselors if they need support. Together, as a proud and united school community, we will celebrate the achievements of our young leaders and continue to uphold the values that make our school exceptional. Thank you for your unwavering support.
