Bus routes have been posted to the parent portal. To access your child's route information, log into the portal, and click on the "buses" tab on your child's profile page. See the attached photo.

Bus passes have been mailed home as well. Please make sure you write your child's bus information on the bus tag and attach it to your child's backpack.

NYS REQUIREMENTS:

According to the NYS laws all Elementary School students must be up to date with all mandatory vaccines. Current physical exams are mandated by New York State for all incoming students:

• Preschool
• Kindergarten
• 1st Grade

MEDICATIONS:

Students with medical conditions like Asthma, Food Allergy, Diabetes, Seizure etc.

must have a current Medication and order from the Pediatrician on file with the school nurse.

CHANGE OF CLOTHES

Spills and accidents can happen at school. Please send in a complete change of clothes in a Ziploc bag, with your child’s name to keep in your child's backpack. (T-shirt, pants, underwear, socks)

All students in grades K - 2 will be issued an ipad on the first day of school. Students will be taking the devices back and forth between home and school. When they do, please make sure that the device is only used for school purposes. Additionally the students are not permitted to download anything on the District device.

Please make sure that the office is aware of your child's dismissal plan. All students take the bus home unless we are alerted otherwise.

The District offers breakfast and lunch daily, free of charge. The lunch menu is located on the Suffern Central Website. Students will need to know their pin code in order to receive meals. Your child's teacher will give your child a card with their meal code on it. To help us speed up the breakfast/lunch line, please encourage your child to memorize their meal code. I have asked the teachers to send the codes home on the 1st day of school. We appreciate your support!

Proper hydration is very important. We have refillable water stations throughout the building. Please send your child to school with a refillable water bottle.

Don't forget to label your child's belongings. Water bottles, lunch boxes, even jackets! You would be surprised how quickly the lost and found fills up!

We are VERY excited to share the 24-25 PTA Meeting schedule. This year we have both a remote and an in person option. The PTA is also hoping to offer daycare for those who need it. Please join us for as many as you are able. PTA Meetings are a great way to make friends and learn about what's happening in our schools.
