How is it possible that we are almost done with this school year? I keep hearing students say that this year has flown by, and I have to admit that I still can't believe we are done next Friday. It has been a delight to work with your children this year, and we are excited to see some over the summer at Camp Raven, and the rest in the Fall.

We will send out information every so often this summer, with reminders about schedule pick up days, tours, asking for students to help with incoming 6th graders, etc. Otherwise, I will keep your mailbox as clear as possible. 😊

If your 6th or 7th grader will NOT be returning to RTMS next school year, please reach out to our front office so that we can get records sent to the new school. Our office hours are 7:00-4:00, Monday through Friday, and we can be reached at 847-298-1750. Our secretaries' last day is June 3rd, but I can be reached over the summer.

Any students that are not registered for the 2022-2023 school year will have their devices collected on Wednesday, May 25.

If you have already registered for the 2022-2023 school year, your student(s) will hang on to their devices for the summer.

All students are required to read at least one book over the summer... even those students moving on to high school next year! Please use this link to access summer reading lists for all incoming 6th-8th graders.

Middle School summer reading lists

*We encourage you to reach out to the high school your student will be attending with any questions about summer reading. We do have this info to share, however:

• Incoming freshman for Hersey should be reading The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey. This is the only required reading, though they may share (or have shared) more titles as suggestions.
• Incoming freshman for Maine West should be checking out this list for information.

Parent Schoology Accounts: Parents/families of 4th-8th grade students were sent an access code for Schoology. They also were provided these instructions, which explain how to sign up and/or access their Parent Schoology account.

Remote Technology Support: Families can submit a Remote Technology Support Ticket through Incident IQ for their child. The link can be found on the district website under the Parents tab. They can also submit a ticket by logging into Incident IQ with their child’s login information.
