So Close to Winter Break!
Happy December!
I cannot believe we only have just a couple weeks left until Winter Break. We have been cruising right along and have enjoyed our school year with your children! Please check out this Focus to learn about our upcoming dates and activities for students AND families!
As we prepare for Winter Break, please know that my staff will also be on break and will not be available during that time. They, too, deserve time with loved ones and take the much-needed rest we all need!

Winter Play Dec. 13
Next Friday is our JJHS performance of "Bad Auditions by Bad Actors" written by Ian McWethy.
Our students have been working hard to prepare this production for the stage, and their work has truly paid off!
The show "Bad Auditions by Bad Actors" follows the casting director, played by Evelyn Hart (7th Grade), and her assistant, Rodger, played by Jordan Maldonado (8th Grade), as they try to cast the leads for an upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet. However, the actors coming in for their audition all have a special quirk that makes this casting job hard.
The performance will be in the South High School auditorium at 6:30 pm on Friday, December 13th, and is free to watch! Concessions will be available for purchase at intermission.
Come out to support our students and laugh and cringe at this amazing production!

SPED Update:
We are excited to welcome Celyssa Trevizo to our team. She will be working with Jamie and doing the scheduling of IEPs and many other things.
Student Behavior:
As we approach the holiday season, we generally see an increase in student behavior. Please be vigilant and understanding with our students. When supervising students please be active. We can eliminate many behaviors by being present.

Board Game Donation Drive
Oh what fun...
The Engagement Team is hosting a Board Game drive as we are hoping to secure as many board games as possible for teachers to have in their advisory classrooms. We are hoping to not only get the screens out of their faces but build more positive relationships between each other.
There are donations boxes located around town in small businesses. Please thank the following businesses for supporting our Board Game Drive:
- Westby's
- Freedom's Edge
- Ike's Restaurant
