*If you are attending GWES based on a waiver, you must complete another one this year before school ends.

*SOLS are almost upon us. Attendance is even more crucial for grades 3-5.

*Field Day - May 30th - Raindate June 2nd -- We are almost there but could still use a few more volunteers. If you have not volunteered all year, this is a fun way to help out. We will have to cancel if we cannot get enough help. Thank-you.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS FOR THIS YEAR. We need new people in order to continue PTO and all the events they sponsor. Participation has been low this year. We would love to encourage you to attend a meeting where you have the opportunity to have a voice in activities, decisions and budget.

We had an excessive amount of devices destroyed or misused last year. To help prevent this from happening this year, we will only be sending home devices if they are needed for a specific assignment.

Lost Chromebook Charger Fee Information

1. Go to the Online School Fee Payment Website:

2. Click "Elementary Schools" and then "George Watkins Elementary School".

3. Select the fee that is titled " Chromebook Fee-Damaged/Charger". (SKU: BR002-93)

4. Click "Add to Cart"

5. Continue with the checkout process to pay the fee.

Parents - Please read through the handbook to find information about changes this year at GWES. Pay close attention to dress code, attendance, lunch visits and pick-up/dismissal policies. Instruction does not end until 3:30 every day. If you consistently pick up your child early they are missing valuable learning time.
