Dolphin News You Can Use
Volume 20: Oct. 7th - Oct. 11th
Principal's Message
Hello Dickinson Families!
We have had another fantastic week of learning, growth, and celebration at our school! Our students have been engaged in a variety of activities that not only support their academic development, but also their understanding of character and community.
The car rider line has improved with parents only parking if they want to come in to the front office. Please start parking in the parking spaces closer to the exit of the school. Officer Nash believes this will be the safest outcome to avoid someone getting hurt. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate adding additional car riders this year.
I know all of us are looking forward to a fabulous four day week! As a friendly reminder this week is fall break. Students will be off from October 11th - October 14th. When we return on Tuesday, October 15th it will be picture day.
I hope to see all of you on Thursday, October 10th at Field Day!
If you have any concerns or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Warm Regards,
Channon Almendarez

New Lamar CISD Color Track: Green Track
During the regular meeting on Sept. 17, the Lamar Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the names, colors, and mascots for the new campuses within Secondary Complex #7, set to open in the 2025-2026 school year. The Gators are the official mascot for the three new schools, Tomas High School, Banks Junior High School, and Bielstein Middle School. The selection process involved extensive community input, including a survey that gathered over 1,000 responses. In addition to the new secondary complex, Fagert Elementary School will adopt the Foxes as their mascot, while Haygood Elementary School will represent the Hedgehogs. Want to volunteer? Plan to attend field trips? Assist with Holiday Parties?
Dickinson Elementary has an amazing reputation for partnering with our parents and community to serve our students in a multitude of ways. The culture of Dickinson Elementary includes a partnership with our community. Last year, our parents volunteered hundreds of hours to support our students and staff. We value our partnership as together we educate our dolphins. This year all volunteers are required to register as a volunteer. This includes PTO Board Members, work room volunteers, Watch Dog Dad volunteers, room parents, field day volunteers, library volunteers, and the list continues! Please visit this website to begin the process:
