Celebrating Our Learners
GVMS Students are doing amazing things!
During the last few weeks, we have been able to celebrate many of our learners for their incredible work and dedication. We had an additional group of students honored for Student of the month. We were also able to recognize Perfect Attendance, Punctuality and Honor Roll.
Student of the Month Assembly
At the end of each month, we are celebrating students who demonstrate our CRISP habits. CRISP stands for Collaboration, Responsibility, Inquiry, Service, and Perseverance. As your young teens grow to adults, these habits will help them become the best people they can be. Congratulations to:
- 6th Grade: Waylon Hemmert - Waylon always works hard on his projects, asks questions when needed and never has to be reminded to stay on task. He helps all of his classmates and friends never asking for anything in return and shows the exact qualities we'd expect in a CRISPY student.
- 7th Grade: Kevin Chavez Valerio - Kevin is an amazing student and represents every C.R.I.S.P. behavior and habit.
- 8th Grade: Joseph Roe - Joe Roe is a true CRISPY Cardinal. He is kind, hard wokring, and he leads by example. He always does the right thing even when no one is looking. He goes above and beyond not only on his school work, but he helps his peers on a daily basis. He shows others that success is possible if you just try! Thanks for bring you!
- 8th Grade: Cayden Gunderman - Respect and Perseverance: Cayden has shown us that he reflect and manage himself as an athlete and a learner. He was an important part of the 8th grade football team and has been able to process his frustration in a healthy way.

Toys at School - No, No, No
We have noticed many students bringing their toys to school. Middle school is definitely the time when all learners should be ready to leave their toys at home. Please support your child in leaving their toys at home. This includes stuffed animals, action figures, Poke mon' Cards, etc.
Should toys be a distraction, the teachers will have your child take them to the office to be retrieved at the end of the day.
