Welcome back Golden Knights! - 01/10/2025
Welcome Dr. Beaver & Mrs. Chastain
Dr. Clif Beaver, Interim Principal - Rustin High School
Greetings Rustin Families! I am thrilled to be serving as Interim Principal for Rustin High School. After 35 years in public education in Chester County, I recently retired from the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District where I served as Principal for 19 years. Prior to that, I was an administrator and teacher in the Downingtown Area School District where my two daughters, now through college, attended from K-12. Already, in just the few days that I’ve been here at RHS, I’ve seen wonderful acts of kindness on the part of our students, and I’ve gotten a sense of the dedication and tireless efforts of the Rustin High School Staff to provide the great school experience students enjoy here.
I will strive to provide stability and ensure continuity in academic and extracurricular programs, address immediate needs, and support the school's educational mission while preparing for a smooth transition to a permanent principal. It promises to be a busy and wonderful second half of the school year at Rustin High School. I’m very excited to be a part of it all.
Dr. Clif Beaver
Mrs. Kristen Chastain, Assistant Principal - 10th grade
Hello, Rustin Knights! My name is Mrs. Kristen Chastain, the new Assistant Principal at Rustin, and I am excited to be part of the Rustin family. In my first few days here in Rustin, I quickly learned the students and staff are wonderful, and I am looking forward to growing and supporting them throughout the year.
For the last eight and a half years, I served as an assistant principal for grades seven and eight in the Oxford Area School District. I live in Landenberg with my husband, and I have two boys who have recently graduated college and are residing in Colorado. I was born and raised in West Chester, so it is good to find my way back to my roots.
Mrs. Kristen Chastain

- Unfortunately, if a student arrives late and the attendance is changed, the call has already been triggered. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- All students entering the building after 7:30 or leaving early for any reason must sign-in/sign-out in the Attendance Office.
Pickup Patrol App
NOTE: a doctor's note is required if the absence, early dismissal, late arrival was due to a doctor/dentist appointment.
If you're not using the Pick Up Patrol app and would like the link sent to you so that you can begin using it, please email attendance.
New for 2024-2025
If you prefer email to the app, you can contact Attendance at: RHSAttendance@wcasd.net that email will take the place of the written parent note for absence, early dismissal, and late arrival.

Culture and Cuisine in Northern Italy - June 2026
ATTENTION, RHS PARENTS AND STUDENTS!
We are thrilled to announce an unforgettable trip in June of 2026 for our families to experience Culture and Cuisine in Northern Italy!
The most important thing to pack on a trip to northern Italy? An empty stomach.
Sample fresh, native products during rural farm visits and taste your way through Turin on a food-themed walking tour. Balance your meals with sightseeing stops in Milan, Bologna, Florence, and Rome, where you’ll feast your eyes on some of Italy’s most celebrated architectural gems. Just make sure to save room for gelato, too.
Contact mcoley@wcasd.net with any questions. This is more than just a trip – it’s a hands-on and cultural experience that travelers will remember for a lifetime.
