Our grade 8 students were part of a YMCA Canada Cultural Exchange this year. Our DAF crew went to Quebec in February and we were excited to host our twins the week before Easter break. A huge congratulations to our D. A. Ferguson Middle School Choir who performed at the Kiwanis Music Festival in Lethbridge in April. We are very proud of how you represented our school!

Our badminton teams were stronger then ever this year. The students and coaches put in hours of practices and were resilient at the tournaments they attended. This badminton season resulted in our teams being better represented in Southern Alberta Zones then any other school. A huge shout out goes to the dedication and patience of our coaches and the athletes.

FoxFire Esports has been wowing us here at DAF. Our team is currently sitting at second place in the league of over 30 teams. A huge shout out to Blake Mills who is second place in the individual player score percentages in the league! Big win for our Foxes! Way to go Foxes!!

We wanted to extend a shout out to the TPS and the Justiin Hall Memorial. Our student had his bike stolen during a badminton practice here at school and we were fortunate enough to have it replaced with the help of the TPS and funded by the Justin Hall Memorial. Our school is so grateful for our amazing community!

Track and Field practices have just started. Grade 7 & 8 student athletes are welcome to join in on our practices from 3:45-5pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

We are so excited to announce our exploratories for the 2025- 2026 school year. Each student is able to take part in some highly engaging classes to help them explore career interests and build skills. Students coming into grade 6 are offered Art, Food, TEAMS and the option of band. Students coming into grade 7 & 8 are able to pick from a list of over 40 high interest areas. Please check with your children to see if they still have school supplies. As we come to the end of the year many students are begging or borrowing basic things like pencils to get through to the end of the year. It would help if parents could just send a few more pencils or erasers in many cases.
