Building Community Connections with Councilmember Rouse
Our Honors Civics students recently had the exciting opportunity to engage with Virginia Beach City Councilmember Jennifer Rouse in a Zoom session. Students asked insightful questions, and we discovered a special connection—her mother is a proud Blair alum! Councilmember Rouse, elected in 2022 to represent District 10, is a lifelong Virginia Beach resident.
This session exemplified the power of connecting our students with local leaders, reinforcing the importance of civic engagement and celebrating the incredible impact of our community partnerships!
Blair Students Get Active with Cardio Circuits!
Our students recently tackled an exciting cardio circuit in PE, featuring spinning bikes, hula hoops, jump ropes, and more! This dynamic activity not only kept them moving but also showcased the incredible benefits of regular exercise.
Studies show that physical activity boosts brain function, improves focus, and enhances overall academic performance. It's no surprise that staying active helps our students succeed both in and out of the classroom.
We’re so proud of our PE teachers for designing engaging lessons and of our students for their hard work and energy
Honoring Our Military Families: November Spirit Week
In celebration of November as the Month of the Military Family, we dedicated time to recognize and support the incredible contributions of our military families. One way we showed our appreciation was through a fun and meaningful Spirit Week, bringing our school community together to honor their sacrifices and resilience.
Military families embody strength and commitment, and we believe it's important to highlight their vital role in our school and community. Enjoy these snapshots of our Spirit Week as we celebrated and showed our gratitude for those who serve and their loved ones.
It is time to begin our Rising 9th grade scheduling!
We are excited to assist our 8th-grade students with selecting courses for 9th grade! Parent conferences to complete course requests will be held from December 2nd through the end of January.
To schedule a 20-30 minute Zoom or in-person meeting, please email:
