Madonna Catholic School News
April 11, 2025
Dear Madonna Catholic School Community,
As we begin the final week of Lent, we reflect on Jesus' journey to the cross. On Palm Sunday, we celebrate His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The crowds praise Him, waving palm branches and shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” But soon, these same people turn against Him, and He suffers for us. Jesus shows us His great love through His sacrifice, even though He was innocent.
This Holy Week, let’s remember Jesus' humility and love. Do we welcome Him into our hearts in good times and bad? Let this week help us grow in faith and prepare to celebrate His resurrection with gratitude.

FAITH INTEGRATION
St. John Baptist de La Salle
Our Cogito Fawcett class led the school in an assembly focussed on the Feast of St. John Baptist de La Salle, who is the patron saint of educators. He was a key pioneer in the area of teacher formation, and founded an order dedicated to the teaching of youth, particularly those without the means to pay. The kindergarten students helped us to pray not only for those who work in school settings but also for our students...our reason to come here each day!!
