Director of Bands Earns Award
Mr. Rob Cebriak Awarded Legion of Honor
Congratulations to GLHS Director of Bands Rob Cebriak for receiving the Legion of Honor Award presented by the John Phillips Sousa Foundation at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago over winter break.
Up to eight directors are awarded each year and Mr. Cebriak is the first Ohio director in over thirty years!
Blacklick and High Point Elementary
Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.
Many schools across GJPS, like Blacklick and High Point Elementary, celebrated special assemblies and projects to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
Chapelfield Presents at Board Meeting
Student Council Provides School Leadership
Chapelfield Elementary Student Council members made an inspiring presentation at the Board of Education's regular meeting this week. Students discussed how they provide leadership, plan activities and serve as building ambassadors for their school.
Middle School East
Art Exploration
Middle School East art students were recently treated to a class by visiting artist, Kirsta Niemie Benedetti. The PTA sponsored her visit to speak with students about her creative process and the different mediums used in her creations. Students then experimented with paint markers, purchased with a grant from the Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation.

GLHS Course Exploration Fair
We are extremely proud of the robust programs offered at GLHS! What better way to show them off than at a Course Exploration Fair hosted by our students currently enrolled in those classes?
Students had the opportunity to visit program "booths" to learn more about the content and projects included in programs offered for the 2024-25 school year.
From STEM to the arts...there is something for EVERYONE at GLHS next year!

Celebrating Our Staff
The Heart and Pride Award recognizes two outstanding staff members each month who make a profound impact on our students and Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
This nomination form will remain open year-round and is open to any member of our staff, regardless of position.
Phase Two Projects
Building Pride for Our Future
In November 2020, voters in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district approved a bond and operating levy to fund Phase Two of the GJPS Master Facilities Plan.
Phase Two of the Master Facilities Plan Includes:
- Additions and renovations to High Point and Blacklick Elementary
- Additions and renovations to Middle School East
- New Lincoln High School on current site
