One Author, One District

We are so excited to be coming together as a District to celebrate the remarkable author/illustrator Peter Reynolds!

Throughout the Month of May, our schools will be celebrating his work and the themes of his stories, culminating with a night event on May 30th where families will get to participate in activities dedicated to his work & get to see him live! Make sure to complete the Google Form to sign up to participate in the night event. We hope everyone enjoys all of the fun and exciting activities throughout our One Author, One District!

While each school will be participating in a variety of different building-based activities, we will also be holding Districtwide events too!

May 10th @ 2:00 PM: Dr. Campbell will be doing a Peter Reynolds read aloud on Google Meet at 2:00 PM! Classes can join the Google Meet live to watch & interact or can watch the recording at a later time!

May 15th: To Celebrate Rose's Garden, we are asking students to bring in a paper flower to help us build our own garden!

May 17th @ 2:00 PM: Dr. Rogers will be doing a Peter Reynolds read aloud on Google Meet at 2:00 PM! Classes can join the Google Meet live to watch & interact or can watch the recording at a later time!

May 21st @ 2:00 PM: Dr. White will be doing a Peter Reynolds read aloud on Google Meet at 2:00 PM! Classes can join the Google Meet live to watch & interact or can watch the recording at a later time!

May 21st @ 2:00 PM: Title 1 Lending Library: End of the year celebration with a Peter Reynolds twist!

May 22nd: To celebrate Sky Color, we will be encouraging students to dress the rainbow. Wear as colorful an outfit as possible for a chance to win prizes!

May 30th Evening Event: Join us as we welcome Peter Reynolds to Plymouth Public Schools to celebrate our One Author, One District! We will be holding an nighttime event at PCIS. The event will take place in two sessions where families will get to participate in a variety of different games and activities celebrating the themes and works of Peter Reynolds! They will also get the chance to watch an engaging presentation by Mr. Reynolds and even get one of his books signed!
