We also have some exciting competitions and activities to encourage our students to read as much as possible!
We’d also like to take a moment to congratulate our girls JV basketball team on finishing out an undefeated season—what an incredible achievement! Additionally, a huge congratulations to our flag football teams and cheerleaders on an amazing season. We are so proud of all our athletes and their dedication!
This Friday, we will be celebrating our monthly Spirit Day! K-5 students are invited to come to school dressed as their favorite literary character, while our 6-8 students can get into the March Madness spirit by wearing their favorite basketball jersey or a college t-shirt/sweatshirt. We can’t wait to see everyone’s school spirit!
Spring Break is quickly approaching! If you’re interested in signing your child up for our Spring Break Camp, be sure to check out the information below and register before it’s too late.

Celebrating Accountability & Introducing March's Word of the Month: Perseverance
Our students did an amazing job embracing the word Accountability throughout February! They demonstrated responsibility, ownership of their actions, and a commitment to doing their best each day. To recognize their efforts, we will be honoring one student from each class who truly embodied accountability at our Flag Ceremony this Wednesday. We are so proud of their dedication!
As we move into March, we introduce our new Word of the Month: Perseverance. Perseverance means pushing through challenges, staying determined, and never giving up—even when things get tough. Whether it’s mastering a new skill, working hard on a project, or facing obstacles with a positive attitude, perseverance helps us grow and achieve our goals.
We encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of perseverance and ways to practice it in their daily lives. Let’s work together to inspire resilience and a never-give-up attitude this month!
March "Read to Win" House Challenge
In honor of National Reading Month, we’re launching our schoolwide “Read to Win!” challenge! Students can earn points for their house teams every time they read a book—one point per page! The more you read, the more points you earn for your house.
How It Works:

- All points earned will go toward your house total!
House Bonus Points:
- 1st Place House: 2,000 points
- 2nd Place House: 1,500 points

Shoe Drive to Support Local Child's Fight for a Cure
Our school will participate in a shoe drive to support a local child, Paxton Purdy, who is in urgent need of a miracle. Paxton, 8 years old, has been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called CLCN6 mutation, which causes autism, epilepsy, and a shortened life expectancy. His parents have started a nonprofit to raise funds for gene therapy research at UMass Medical School in Worcester, and you can help.
Bring in gently used shoes and place them in the bin labeled with your child's house. The house with the most donated shoes can win up to 2,000 extra points! Bins are set up in the gym, and donations will be accepted until Thursday, March 20th. Every pair counts toward funding vital research to help Paxton and other children like him. Let's come together and make an impact!
For more information, visit cureclcn6.org.
Thank you for your support!
