Congratulations Cambridge!
National Merit Semifinalists!
Cambridge High School is honored to recognize our five National Merit Semifinalists. Of the approximately 1.3 million high school juniors nationwide who take the PSAT, only about one-third of the top 50,000 scorers become National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) Semi-Finalists. NMSC Semi-Finalists can apply for NMSC Finalist status and compete for scholarships.

National Merit Commended Students
In September 2024, more than two-thirds (about 34,000) of the high scorers were designated Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. They are named based on a nationally applied Selection Index Qualifying Score that may vary from year to year.
In recognition of their outstanding ability and potential for academic success in college, NMSC honors these students by sending Letters of Commendation to them through their high schools. Although Commended Students will not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some may be candidates for Special Scholarships offered by corporate sponsors. NMSC will notify those candidates in November 2024.
Cambridge High School would like to congratulate our Commended students:
Lucia Abuhl
Nicole Chen
Sreegowri Chimalakonda
Maximilian Draughn
