NCAL News
This week our sixth grade NCAL volunteers were Elias Schultz Lafountain, Everett Gerasimof, and Henry Leitz. They sprayed, scrubbed, and polished the pet wellness room until the floor sparkled and then spent some quality time with Luna, one of several new dogs who came into the shelter over the past week. Looking for a way to help the shelter? They are always in need of bleach, Dawn dish soap, and liquid laundry detergent. If you drop it off at school, our volunteers can deliver it to the shelter on Thursdays.
Have a wonderful weekend. I will be sending some of my time starting seeds - indoors of course.
Early Childhood Program Preschool Developmental Screening
Is your child turning 3 or 4 by September 1, 2025? Cambridge Elementary Early Childhood Program invites families with eligible preschool students to call 802-521-5613 or email evaillancourt@lnsd.org to make an appointment for a developmental screening.
Who: Community of Cambridge/Jeffersonville children (ages 3 and 4 by September 1, 2025)

Thursday, March 27th 1:30-2:30
Wednesday, April 16th 4:30-5:30
Wednesday, May 21st 1:30-2:30
How: Contact Erin Vaillancourt (802-521-5613 or evaillancourt@lnsd.org), to reserve a time for your child.
Screenings will take approximately 60 minutes. During this time, parents will fill out a brief developmental questionnaire about their child while educators interact with the children to gain information about each child’s development in the areas of speech and language, social/emotional, motor, and cognitive. This is also a time for parents to ask questions about their child’s skills and about our preschool program.
2025-2026 Preschool Schedule
-Four-Year-Old Class: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
-Multi-Age Class: Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
