Principal's Message:
Dear OP Families,
There are so many wonderful things happening at OP right now so I want to highlight just a few! It was lovely to see so many families meeting with our fabulous OP teachers this week during Parent Teacher Conferences! Our students are so fortunate to have such excellent support at school and home. I also want to shout out the amazing Halloween Spooktacular event we had last week. Thank you to the amazing team of teachers and our great PTA for organizing such a wonderful event - and of course thank you to everyone who attended! One more big thank you to Mrs. McConnell for her work making the book fair a fantastic event for all our students!
To continue our commitment to parent-school communication I would like to invite everyone to our quarterly “Breakfast with Bruno” on Thursday, November 21st at 8:45 in the OP Media Center. Officer Retzler, who is supporting the School Resource Officer role will be there to meet families. We’ll also discuss our STEAM learning program and of course have great conversations together! If you plan on attending please RSVP here so we can purchase snacks accordingly.
Have a lovely long weekend,
Mr. Bruno

Our Almont Youth Tackle Freshmen and JV football teams went undefeated this season, going 9-0; both cinching the Hometown Football League Championship this past weekend. The freshmen team is made up of our 2nd and 3rd graders and their 1st place trophy is being displayed in our O.P. lobby. Teams started practicing the beginning of August and competed with against other BWAC and surrounding communities. They faced the 8-0 Yale Bulldogs and won 28-18 with support from our Varsity, JV, and middle school players cheering them on from the sideline.

Positive Behavior at OP
We follow the RAD Raider Code. RAD stands for:
R - Ready to Learn
A - Always be Safe
D - Do the Right Thing
Students can earn RAD tickets by demonstrating expected behaviors, and these tickets are entered into a weekly drawing as recognition for positive behaviors. These students will also get to eat lunch with the principal at the end of the month.
Book Vending Machine
Parent Pick-Ups
We must ask that students not enter our lots without a parent escort for safety reasons. When picking your child up, please park, exit your vehicle and wait outside the door your child exits. Thank you!
