π€ Daphne Hunter Rakes β Teacher of the Year Nominee
We are thrilled to announce that Daphne Hunter-Rakes, our incredible American Sign Language (ASL) teacher, is CRY-ROP's nominee for San Bernardino Teacher of the Year!
Daphneβs passion for ASL and her dedication to student success make her an outstanding educator. She creates an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students not only develop their language skills but also gain a deeper understanding of Deaf culture. Her commitment to excellence and innovation in the classroom has made a lasting impact on both her students and the CRY-ROP community.

π₯We're turning up the heat in Welding
Weβre proud to announce the outstanding results from our Welding students at the Skills USA California Region 6 Hybrid Competition held on January 25th. CHS fielded 7 welding competitors, featuring sculptors and fabrication team. Four students will advance to the State Leadership and Skills Conference in April.

- Abel P., Joel B., and Andrew L. β 4th place in Welding Fabrication Team

πΆ A Paw-some Partnership
Adoptable dogs from the Devore Animal Shelter make another a fur-tastic visit to Bloomington High School, where Vet Tech students gave them some much-needed grooming and love to help them look their best for their future forever homes. Students also got to paws and enjoy some puppy cuddles, making for a heartwarming and stress-free day.
This growing partnership between BHS and Devore Animal Shelter is helping more dogs find loving families while giving students hands-on experience in pet care.
We canβt wait to see this collab continue to growβone wagging tail at a time!

Weβre proud of CVHS, BHS, and YHS for their dedication and hard work at the CSUSB VE Competitionβway to represent!
A huge shoutout to YHS for winning 3rd Gold Place in the Elevator Pitch and Silver in Marketing Plan! CVHS also brought home 2nd Gold Place for Booth Design and Silver in Elevator Pitch!
π REV Esports Rockets to Victory
Congratulations to the REV Rocket League Esports team for an incredible season, finishing as the Pacific Region League Runner-Up! Their hard work, strategy, and teamwork paid off as they boosted their way to success. Great job, teamβyour dedication is truly next level! π
πΌ Job Fair Success
Thank you to everyone who made our recent job fair a success! With nearly 700 attendees, including 45 experiencing homelessness, the event provided invaluable support to our community.
Over 90 people received rΓ©sumΓ© assistance, 50 expungements were completed, and interviews were happening all day. Most importantly, everyone left with hope and new opportunities!
This success was made possible by the CRY-ROP team, in collaboration with the Redlands Chamber of Commerce. Together, weβre creating brighter futures!
π° Investing in Futures, Empowering Careers
Weβre excited to announce that CRY-ROP has been awarded $2,983,857 through the CTE Incentive Grant (CTEIG) for the 2024-25 school year, along with additional funding from K12 Strong Workforce (K12 SWP) grantsβ$334,880 for aviation career pathways and $636,792 for culinary pre-apprenticeships. These investments will enhance career education and expand opportunities for students!

Education Foundation
The CRY-ROP Educational Foundation, Inc. enriches the experience of Career Technical Education students by serving as a catalyst and funding source for promoting and celebrating education success, encouraging lifelong learning, and contributing to studentsβ future career and educational goals. Funds raised through the Educational Foundation go directly to funding student award scholarships, which are presented at the annual Evening of Excellence.

Buy gift cards from Raise Right for special occasions or everyday purchases to help us reach this year's fundraising goal for Educational Foundation. You can choose either physical digital gift cards, which can be emailed as gifts. Each purchase helps support student awards and scholarships at our annual Evening of Excellence.
