Clairmont Bulldog Families,
I hope that you were able to get a good amount of rest and relaxation over the fall break. We are excited to welcome our students back to school tomorrow, 10/14/2024, except for preschool, who returns on 10/15/2024. We ask that you make sure your students arrive to school no later than 7:55am, so they may comfortably arrive to their classrooms prior to the 8:00am tardy bell. If you would like your student to eat free breakfast in the cafeteria, they may do so between 7:30-7:45am. We do not have supervision for students prior to 7:30, so do not drop of your children prior to that time, it is a safety concern!
If you were unable to meet with your students teacher during parent-teacher conference week to discuss their progress, I highly encourage you to do so, as you are the main partner in your students education.
As the weather begins to cool down, make sure your students are properly dressed in their uniforms and have a jacket appropriate to the temperature outside.
I am thrilled to announce that our monthly Friday Flag Salutes will be returning! Our first one is scheduled on Friday, October 25th at 8:00am. We will have many fun and exciting things coming up, I encourage you to read thoroughly through the information in the weekly newsletter as well as any flyers that may come home.

Online Data Confirmation: Our deadline is coming fast! Currently we have only 61% of our students who have been updated and/or confirmed for the 2024-2025 school year. We are striving for 100% completion! Please check below for information on how to complete it today! We have laptops available in the office for use if needed.
Spelling Bee: We are excited to announce that Clairmont Elementary is having a spelling bee for students grades 4th through 6th. The Spelling Bee is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their spelling skills and compete in a friendly and encouraging environment. Participants will be tested on their ability to spell a variety of words; the event will include several rounds. The competition aims to foster a love of language and promote academic excellence. The site spelling bee will take place on October 22nd. The winner of each Stockton school site will go on to the district wide spelling bee in Stockton on November 7th. We encourage you to click on the link below for rules and practice lists.
Preschool: Mrs. Cha and Mrs. Keosavang's classes will return to school on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Minimum Days: As a reminder, every Wednesday is a minimum day. Students will be dismissed as follows- 1st-3rd 12:35 & 4th-6th- 12:40. Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten do not have a different dismissal time, it remains 11:50 year round.
Box Tops for Education: We are a Box Tops for Education school, which can help us earn money for our school. It is an easy way to help us earn money to purchase items and experiences that benefit your student. Check out the two flyers that are linked below for more information!

Aeries Online Data Confirmation- Parent Directions
We encourage all parents to complete the online data confirmation process by following the instructions in the flyer below.
We will have a class competition to encourage completion. The first class to have 100% of students with complete online data confirmation will win a prize, by October 31, 2024.
