Litchfield Seventh Grade
Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year!
An IB School? What is that?
Many of you have heard of Litchfield described as an IB Candidate School, but may not be completely clear on what that means. We at Litchfield have formally applied to the International Baccalaureate Programme, a truly international educational group of schools that share similar visions and goals. According to IB publications, the "IB proramme promotes the education of the whole person, emphasizing intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth through all domains of knowledge...the IB espouses the principle of educating the whole person for a life of active, responsible citizenship." Here at Litchfield, the staff is commited to these central ideas. We will always be available if you have any more questions.
