This registration is for children who will be five (5) years of age on or before December 31, 2025.

which will be held during 2024-25 and Kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year.
Online registration can be completed by following the steps here:
https://www.nlschools.ca/studentsfamilies/kindergartenregistration.jsp
Families will need the following in order to complete an online application:
1. MCP number including expiration date;
2. An email address in order to receive confirmation of receipt of your application;
3. What school you are zoned for (please use the School Catchment Viewer HERE);
4. Contact phone number and an emergency contact phone number; and,

Early French Immersion
● French Immersion is a program designed for non-francophone children.
Parents/guardians interested in registering a child for the French Immersion
Kindergarten Program must select their zoned school. If Early French Immersion is not
offered in the zoned school, parents/guardians must select the school closest to their
place of residence that offers Early French Immersion (EFI).
● Early French Immersion Kindergarten registration takes place on a first-come first
served basis for a limited number of spaces. Applications will be dated and
time-stamped upon submission of the online application form. All students are entitled
to a program in English so if your child is waitlisted for EFI at a school that is not your
zoned school, space will be held at the zoned school. Parents/guardians will be
provided with further information once class lists for EFI are finalized in September.
● For a list of schools offering the Early French Immersion Program, click here.
● For more information about the French Immersion Program, click here. Additionally, a
presentation is also PROVIDED HERE for review.

We hope to make this both fun and productive! If we have to cancel due to weather, we will send a message out. School Day Routine
Just a reminder of our school day schedule:
Doors open at 8:05 am
Classes begin at 8:20 am
Lunch begins at 11:35 am
Afternoon classes begin at 12:20 pm.
Classes end at 2:20 pm.
We have noticed that a number of students are arriving late for class. We realize that
sometimes being late may be unavoidable. We do ask that you respect our efforts to maximize learning time by ensuring that your child arrives at school on time to prepare for class.
Bus Zone/Front of School
The front of the school is a bus zone from:
8:05 until 8:20 am
2:05 until 2:25 pm
There should be no vehicles entering the front lot during these times. The Kiss and Ride Lane is open until 8:20, so please go to the back of the building for drop-offs until that time.
Parent Requests for September 2023-24
It is not our policy at École Goulds Elementary to entertain requests for specific teachers or classes. When teachers compile class lists they place much effort into organizing the classes based on academic ability, behavioral /social or other issues. It is a huge task that takes a lot of time. Each child's placement in a class is done with much consideration. In a school the size of ours, it would be virtually impossible for us to accommodate requests from parents. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
2023-2024 Yearbooks
We are a peanut /tree nut (pistachios, cashews, almonds) / avocado/ fish / shellfish / green pea / scent aware school.
