It's a Good Day in PreK
Memo
'Tis the Season 👼
Twas the month of December
Twas the month of December, and all through the class,
The children were learning and making some crafts.
The art projects hung on the walls with great care,
In hopes that the holiday spirit would be everywhere.
The children were dressed in sweaters so bright,
While visions of playtime filled them with delight.
Teachers were ready to read a good book,
Ready to start, so they gave them a look.
When out on the playground, there arose such a cheer,
The laughter of children rang loud and clear.
Away to the window they hurried to peek,
To watch all the fun in our Pre-K boutique.
The snowflakes were falling, the air crisp and cold,
While the children played games, both timid and bold.
Then what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But a big stack of blocks, and a friend full of cheer!
With their little hands building, creating with glee,
The classroom was buzzing with joy and with harmony.
The toys were all lined up, the books in a row,
And the children kept learning, their minds all aglow.
Then they heard a small voice from their teacher so clear,
"Tomorrow we’ll learn and have fun with our peers.
We’ll count, and we’ll play, and we’ll sing a new song,
In Pre-K tomorrow, where we all belong!"
So they all snuggled down, with dreams in the air,
Of learning and playing with-out a care.
And then it was nap time they drifted away
As their teachers all whispered,
"Another Good day in Pre-K"
Happy Holidays everyone!
It was a Thankful month in PreK
Berlin was "wild about pre-k," while other sites enjoyed the theme of turkeys, gratitude, and Thanksgiving.
G is for...Gobble Gobble at Genet!
Our Genet students sorting letters on turkey feathers!
Counting practice! Students added "whipped cream" to the slices of pumpkin pie.
Students used their hand prints to make turkeys for their families
S is for... Stone Soup
Students in our Pre-K classroom at Ichabod Crane read multiple versions of the fable, "Stone Soup." They learned about generosity, sharing, and creating a sense of togetherness for shared happiness. They then prepared their own "stone soup" which they were able to enjoy as a class.
F is for...Friendsgiving, Family, and Friendship!
Many sites had a Friendsgiving luncheon this month. Below are some photos from some of our sites.
Thanks for Thanksgiving
Let's Learn about Turkeys with Mrs. Halsey's students at Red Mill!
R is for...Rectangles
