Hello Graham Family,
I hope you and your family are doing well. This is the last week of the 2023-2024 school year, and I want to thank you for a wonderful year. Thank you to all the volunteers who assisted with the PTO, worked our afterschool and weekend activities, donated items, assisted with popcorn and juice, read to our students, attended field trips—the list goes on and on. Students do better in school when their families are involved. I want you and your family to enjoy your summer. However, let's keep learning. Please have your students keep learning at home. Your student can read and do computer programs to continue learning. Ask your student's teacher about the fun summer programs they could do.
Upcoming Events:.
I hope to see you in the library at my Principal's Coffee on June 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. We will have an opportunity to talk. This is also the first meeting of our new Graham Parent University, where parents come to get information on relevant life situations.
The topic of this meeting is financial literacy for adults. I hope to see you there. We will have free child care so you can focus on the message. We will also have snacks! Below is more about what will be covered at the meeting.
Financial literacy conversations are about nurturing our own wealth and gaining the skills to “raise a financially fit family.” Avondale is committed to being a learning hub for our students and community members. With that in mind, we are interested in starting a Parent University where parents and students can learn financial lessons together in a monthly series of financial literacy topics.
