Weekly Update: April 14 - April 20

A Quick Note From Principal Wright

With just six weeks left in the school year, it's hard to believe how quickly time has flown! As we enter this final stretch, I want to encourage every student to finish strong and support one another along the way. A great example of perseverance and teamwork comes from our very own Notus Softball team. During a recent game, they demonstrated Pirate Pride and were encouraging to the rookies! Such an awesome sight to see them cheering each other on, staying focused, and giving their all. Thank you Lady Pirates for reminding us all that we can do hard things when we lean on our team and never give up. Let’s carry that same spirit through the rest of the school year—together!

We have ISATs tests starting this week. Students will take the Math ISATS this Tuesday. Please make sure they rest up and come in ready to do their best on the test!

Let's have another FANTASTIC week ahead! We still have space available for DEN Night on Tuesday. We will also have our Community Forum for the Superintendent Search on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m..

¡Con solo seis semanas restantes del año escolar, es difícil creer lo rápido que ha pasado el tiempo! Al entrar en esta recta final, quiero animar a todos los estudiantes a terminar fuertes y apoyarse unos a otros a lo largo del camino. Un gran ejemplo de perseverancia y trabajo en equipo proviene de nuestro propio equipo de Softbol Notus. ¡Durante un juego reciente, demostraron orgullo pirata y alentaron a los novatos! Es un espectáculo maravilloso verlos animándose unos a otros, manteniéndose concentrados y dándolo todo. Gracias Lady Pirates por recordarnos a todos que podemos hacer cosas difíciles cuando nos apoyamos en nuestro equipo y nunca nos damos por vencidos. Llevemos ese mismo espíritu durante el resto del año escolar... ¡juntos!

Tenemos pruebas ISAT a partir de esta semana. Los estudiantes tomarán el ISATS de Matemáticas este martes. ¡Asegúrese de que descansen y vengan listos para dar lo mejor de sí en el examen!

¡Tengamos otra semana FANTÁSTICA por delante! Todavía tenemos espacio disponible para la Noche DEN el martes. También tendremos nuestro Foro Comunitario para la Búsqueda de Superintendente el martes a las 4:00 p.m.

It's very important to be your best self! Please help us make sure that students are putting away devices BEFORE bed and getting enough rest! Sleep is VERY important for GROWING brains!

Attendance Policy

Please remember our attendance policy: NSD Policy 3050, which allows students to be absent from class no more than 7 class periods during a semester. Three tardies in a class equals one absence, and a tardy of more than half of a class period is also an absence. Our attendance committee will be meeting this week to touch base with a few of our students. EVERY DAY Matters!
