The Cloverleaf Connector
A weekly message from Principal Dowdy
Happy Friday Cloverleaf families,
We had a week full of learning and fun, and have so many upcoming events which are listed throughout this newsletter.
In this picture to the right, you can see students in Mrs. Leverson's class testing the aqueduct they created.
Thank you for sharing your children with us!
Have a wonderful weekend.
In partnership,
Beth Dowdy

As students “graduate” from our middle school program we want to remind our families that Cloverleaf offers a high school program as well.
This program meets on Thursday in our classroom adjacent to the Douglas County High School South campus.
For 24/25, our high school enrichment classes include Economics and Sociology, as well as Health. Cloverleaf high school students who so choose, and who complete course expectations, will receive .5 credits on a DCSD Cloverleaf transcript for each of these three courses. This program also features project-based learning opportunities including creative writing, art, and podcasting.
In addition, Cloverleaf students may access Career and Technical Education options as juniors and seniors and college concurrent enrollment opportunities as 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students.
The primary teacher in our Cloverleaf High School program is Tony Winger. Mr. Winger focuses on building strong relationships with students and strives to create learning opportunities that are engaging and student-centered. Counselor, Gina Raines is also integral to this program, supporting all of our students and families and teaching the Healthy Decisions course each week.
Please email Tony Winger (twinger@dcsdk12.org) for more information. Contact Lisa Sharpe (lisa.sharpe@dcsdk12.org) if you want to register.
