Point Processing
What is it?
At every point, (read, heard, observed, or thought) have students take time to process the point. Allow adequate reflection and thinking time. (Spiral Notebook, page 48)
How do I use this Strategy?
Students need time to process the information that we are feeding them a little at a time, so they are not overwhelmed. Some information that is relayed is already in a format that is perfect for this (after each paragraph, bullet point, strategy, etc.)
Maybe have your students draw a picture, write a word, or write a sentence that explains how they feel or to retell in their own words what was just read/ said/ done.
Try it Out!
After reviewing the strategy, try it out in your classroom and post a picture to the corresponding link on the board. Remember, the more strategies you try, the more chances you have at a PRIZE!!!!!!
Where Can I Find More Info?
A Visual, along with more details can be found in your PEAK Spiral Notebook, page 48.
