Reminders and Updates

  • CLINIC ~ Call the office for anyone exhibiting symptoms or questions.
  • Lunch ~ For adults... 6 feet apart without a mask on is the rule!
  • Cleaning ~ Remember clean desks, chairs ~ 2x a day
  • Extra Cleaning ~ As time allows, wiping down sinks, bathroom door handles, water fountains will be important.
  • WCES All Staff MyLearning Course ~ Active Threat Protocol, Technology, Employee Relations modules have to be completed!
  • Anyone who is not Clinical Ed trained and wishes to take the training ~ let us know....

First Lady Casey DeSantis’ 2020 Hispanic Heritage Month Theme and Student Contests

Pasco County Schools is excited to participate in First Lady Casey DeSantis’ 2020 Hispanic Heritage Month Theme and Student Contests. Each Pasco County School is invited to take part! Here you can find details of the student art contest for grades K-3, the essay contest for grades 4-12 and the Excellence in Education Awards for educators. The Office of Leading and Learning will celebrate the schools with the highest participation. Please submit this mach form to capture your participation numbers. Schools can share this flyer with teachers and families. The Social Studies Learning Network and World Languages Secondary Learning Network has many resources to integrate Hispanic Heritage Month into student learning.

September (American Founders’ Month)

September (American Founders’ Month) is an important month for Social Studies instruction and one of the busiest for instructional statutes. Instructional statutes are required instruction in addition to standards aligned instruction for your course and grade level. Please make sure that you are documenting in your PLC minutes how you are embedding and meeting the instructional statutes. Below you will find a list of important dates linked to resources within our learning networks and within the MyLearning Canvas courses. As the FLDOE updates resources those will be included as well within our instructional mandates page. Also new within the LN Mandates Pages is a hyperlinked calendar with ideas and resources for the month.

As you celebrate the month with great lessons and activities, please take pictures and share them out with us via email or Twitter with the #PascoHonorsFoundersMonth. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Tina Stavrou with any questions. We are eager to see the great lessons in all our classes!
