It looks like we have survived the snow and the cold and are looking forward to a balmy 30 degrees next week. On Monday January 22nd we have LRIA testing from periods 1-4. LRIA is an interim test in preparation for the IAR test which we take in April. Please make sure that your student has their Chromebooks charged, bring headphones, and have a good breakfast. The Illinois State Board of Education is providing school districts with three free interim assessments during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years — one in the fall, one in the winter, and the final one in the spring — to ensure teachers and families have the tools and information they need to support each student’s growth. Interim assessments do not factor into a child’s grades, class placement, or academic standing. They do not impact accountability or teacher evaluations.

These assessments allow teachers to pinpoint knowledge gaps and immediately adjust instruction and support to match students’ needs.​

This Monday, January 22nd, 1st through 4 periods we will have the LRIA test in Reading and Math.

Please make sure that your student has their Chromebooks charged, bring headphones and have a good breakfast.

We will also be administering the test again in May.

We will be going on an end of the year trip in May. We are in the process of picking a date and location. I will keep you updated. I am resharing the criteria for end of year activities.

The Talent Show is coming up on February 29th! Be on the look for audition information and dates.

We wil be holding a casual recogntion event to recognize our 1st semester Honor Roll students who received a 3.5 or higher. If your student is on high honor roll you and your student will be receiving an invitation via email to the event. Please note the event has been changed to Thursday, January 25th from 7:30am-8:15am. There will be cocoa and a treat provided.
