Dear Harvey Families,

This month our Character Strong Trait is Responsibility. The Harvey staff is always on the lookout for responsible Eagles. Responsibility is a key skill that helps students not only succeed academically but also in building strong character and independence.

At Harvey, we are working with students to understand what it means to be responsible—whether it’s completing their assignments on time, taking care of their belongings, or being accountable for their actions and choices. We encourage them to take ownership of their learning and behavior both in the classroom and beyond.

Please see the family newsletter for Responsibility below for ideas on how you can support this work at home. Involving the whole family in these conversations not only makes it more fun but allows students to see others setting an example of what responsibility looks like. As we all know, our students are ALWAYS watching.

October 14-18 is Digital Citizenship Week. This week is dedicated to helping students navigate the digital world safely, responsibly, and respectfully. Beacon Tree would like for our All-Stars to begin thinking about digital citizenship now. Below you will find an attachment of parent conversation prompts to facilitate discussions with your children.
