A Note from Mrs. Goldsworthy
It's that time of year where we start having parent/teacher conferences. These are important check ins that let teachers, students, and parents coordinate expectations and achievement. We want to see your student make progress, reach goals, and feel confident in their ability to learn. Please take the time to come to conferences willing to listen and participate in a positive way, and be mindful of the time. If you feel you need further discussion about your student, please circle back at another time, and not while others are waiting for their scheduled appointment.
SALT Kick Off Mass
We will be kicking off our SALT program (Serve Appreciate Love Teach) with a special mass Thursday morning, Sept. 26. If you are a SALT volunteer, we would love to have you join us for mass at 8:15am. Father will be giving a special blessing to all our teachers, students and volunteers for the SALT program.
Please enter through the narthex and wait for your student if you would like them to sit with you during mass. The back 10-12 pews on the left are available for parents and visitors.
5th-8th Snack Cart
Our 8th grade class is raising funds for their 8th grade retreat and graduation activities. One way they are doing that is with the snack cart. This will be available during lunch time for 5th-8th grade students with snacks sold at $1 each. There are items like Pop Tarts, granola bars, beef sticks, Takis and Goldfish Crackers.
Eagle Excellence!
Have some good news to share about a student, alumni, or school family? We want to celebrate all your proud moments with you! Share your Eagle Excellence for inclusion in the EE!
$5 Free Dress Fridays!
$5 Free Dress Fridays start later this month to help fund furniture replacement and other improvements at our school. We have started to replace some of our deteriorating 20+ years old student desks in middle school, and hope to complete more classrooms with the money raised through $5 FDF and other funding sources.
Students in grades K-8 may opt to participate in a $5 Free Dress Day at school on certain days by paying $5 per student per Free Dress Day. Send cash or checks to school in a marked envelope to your child's homeroom teacher by the designated day for each day your student participates (or pay for all days in advance). Please send money with each sibling to make it easier on teachers as they collect and mark down who has paid. Free Dress guidelines still apply. Those who do not wish to participate should wear their normal uniform. We are also happy to accept additional donations for our School Support fund!
