Manhattan School District Update From Superintendent Ayers
Dear Staff, Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
As we enter the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year, I’d like to share an update on our progress and plans. The first semester was a success, and we’re excited to continue our focus on key areas: the Graduate Profile, Proficiency-Based Learning, Educator Effectiveness, and School Climate. Your feedback remains essential, and we’ll continue seeking your input throughout the year.
Join us for monthly Superintendent Advisory Council meetings: Staff at 4:00 pm, Parents and Community at 5:30 pm, every second Tuesday in the high school activities room. Our upcoming meetings will cover early literacy programming in Pre-K - 5, public education bills in the legislature, and the out-of-district enrollment application for 2025-2026.
The Non-Resident Enrollment Application for 2025-2026 is open through May—visit the District’s website for details.
We are seeking corporate sponsors to support our extracurricular programs. With a donation for a new activities bus, we aim to raise $50,000 by year-end. If interested, contact Nate Parseghian at ad@mhstigers.org or Ann Heisler at aheisler@mhstigers.org. The Manhattan School District has partnered with The Producer Partnership and is also seeking donations for our school lunch program. The Producer Partnership works with schools and local ranchers to pick up the donated animal, process the protein, and deliver it to the school. Please contact Brian Ayers at bayers@mhstigers.org if you are interested in supporting our school lunch program with a donation.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to enhance our students' educational experience.
Sincerely,
Brian K. Ayers

Please be mindful of safe traffic flow during school drop-off (7:45-8:00 AM) and pick-up (3:40-4:00 PM).
Important Guidelines:
- No Parking Along Curbs: The curb areas are designated for quick drop-off and pick-up only.
- Use Parking Stalls: If you need to enter the school, please park in the designated parking stalls.
- Timely Drop-Offs: Pull up to the curb and ensure your student exits the vehicle safely and promptly.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping traffic flowing smoothly and ensuring the safety of all students. For questions about traffic flow or parking lot safety, please contact your student’s principal.
