- Students should bring one Alka seltzer each for their experiment.
Mr. Turchetta - English/Language Arts
Hello everyone!
This week, we reacclimatized ourselves back from the break and did an intro activity for our next novel, 145th Street. Students were asked to think about their own neighborhoods and communities and created a map showing important places to them. Then they wrote out the story of one of the important places.
Next week, we will begin reading 145th Street. We start out with Big Joe's Funeral. Please make sure students bring their copy of 145th Street to school on Monday. Later in the week, we will reading Human Family by Maya Angelou and compare the two texts.
Have a great weekend and happy holidays!

Library overdue emails were sent out in December and I have heard from several families about books overdue that are owed to different schools. Please disregard titles owed to other sites. At the end of the year, I will send another notice email. Notices will only include Deal items moving forward. Sorry about any confusion!
